OTHER:
It’s an honor to serve as your elected Representative. The Army brought me to Alaska after I enlisted in the Infantry during the height of the Iraq War. I was stationed at Ft. Wainwright over 15 years ago and volunteered for two combat tours in Iraq, during which I was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart. Professionally, I have worked in Fairbanks as an insurance agent, specializing in employee benefits, for the past 12 years.

STATEMENT:
I am running for re-election because I believe in civic duty and public service. I enlisted in the Army as a paratrooper in the Infantry to serve our country and fight in its wars. As an active community member and Rotarian for 12 years, I have volunteered with various service organizations and engaged in local issues since leaving the military. My most important job is raising a beautiful family near Badger Rd., just outside the Golden Heart City. For the past two years, it has been a privilege to represent Fairbanks. Our community continues to face significant challenges, including inflationary pressures, high gas prices, electric rates, supply chain issues, and critical workforce shortages that hinder our ability to provide for our families. I believe many of these issues can be alleviated with sound fiscal policy, responsible resource development, and affordable energy. I am pro-business, life, development, education, and public safety, and my record in the State Legislature reflects these values. Above all, I am a true believer in our town and its potential. My life experiences have taught me to be an eternal optimist, and I fundamentally believe that, through the pursuit of sound policy, innovation, and due diligence, we can make Fairbanks a better place for working families.
